Re: AZL 1957
Yes you are right on supermarket parkings i always put the car in a corner far from the trolley parking point and the rest of the cars. But here it was in the street the front car could just drive away forward. I think he had his gear in reverse without knowing.

Re: AZL 1957
We had a very severe rainstorm this afternoon. So when i came to the parking to get the car i opened the door and got a load of water running from the roof. Exact inside on the drivers seat. Nice.... Never seen water standing in an puddle on a 2cv roof????

Re: AZL 1957
The rain here has been so severe! Lots of floods, My baby was 'almost' dry inside, just a couple of tiny drips, which I can cope with.
A couple of years ago I kept getting a damp seat. Rusty seam over the B pillar. Sneaky, lol.....

Re: AZL 1957
Did get some paint and touched up the 57 here and there. This morning on the flaemarket they had a marvellous enamel citroen sign like this but marked Picardie-citroen on the top. The vendor asked 1800 euros, i checked my wallet but i had only small change with me. On the way home i did see an early 4 window Dyane on sale. It still had french plates.

Re: AZL 1957
The broken chevrons came off twice already. I think the 2k glue isn't working anymore, it doesn't harden enough. So another try with another type of glue, see what happens.

P1020060 by Robndaisy, on Flickr If you can find a bit of old aluminium sheet like this, which is off a caravan I think, they're easy enough to make .

Re: AZL 1957
I have a lot of thin aluminium at work. We can print on that, chassis plates, name plates, counter dials, etc. But the chevrons are thin i don't know if they will solder.

Re: AZL 1957
You could try a thin piece from your work, just as a test .

Re: AZL 1957
Well they are glued with the new glue, see how it holds up. I have to put new tyres on the front of the 83. It has to be MOTed. Next week.
