Bit more progress.. Plan to block one end of the exhaust and fill with water/washing up liquid, to check for all the holes and weld those up. Don't think one silencer will be sufficient as the cross box is missing. Attachment:

Using the old floors to fill some of the holes in the "colander" body shell also needs a bit o support underneath. Attachment:

Plan to remove engine/front gearbox and improve the strength? of the transfer pinion. Part to be modified, currently only welded. Drill parallel to shaft and push fit 5mm pins. Attachment:

"Try out" to pin gear onto shaft Using an old gear, have drilled and plugged two 4.9mm holes. First attempted. Using 5mm hardened pins od 5mm but they only go in <1mm, had thoughts of getting ground to 4.9mm + but that is a lot of hassle. Second attempt. Using 5mm mild steel rod, pin goes all the way through, with small amount of material shaving off as the pin is hammered home. Attachment:

Having taken my spare box apart a good while ago, I'm just reassembling it on my coffee table in my lounge. I love being single. I have progressed to the stage where I have to keep recovering the springs from behind the sofa.

A little tapered reamer, and you can have whatever size ever works with...
