i think you are correct. Swiss army had 3 junkers and they are still flying but they are civil now you even can rent them if i am right. They are the only ones in the world that still have their original BMW engines. They were used in a lot films.

Excellent! Not just an overload of corrugated metal but overdosing on pushrod tubes as well... ;)

Plus the sliding windows on the cockpit and the opening 'lid' for cabin ventilation, of course.

The text below is taken from a Wikipedia article about the Lockheed SR-71.

The high temperatures generated inflight required special design and operating techniques. Major portions of the skin of the inboard wings were corrugated, not smooth. Aerodynamicists initially opposed the concept, disparagingly referring to the aircraft as a Mach 3 variant of the 1920s-era Ford Trimotor, known for its corrugated aluminum skin.[28] The heat would have caused a smooth skin to split or curl, whereas the corrugated skin could expand vertically and horizontally and increased longitudinal strength.

It's a mad old world.

It seems a shame that H's only seem to have a future as coffee wagons etc.(Perhaps if and when the bubble bursts, they'll all come onto the market looking for new uses) The only reason I'm posting this link is because the heads up photo is very good. The exquisite door and front end corrugations stand out proud.Sublime :D .
