Yes fatter tyres will hit the swing arms, so you adjust the lock stops to prevent that happening. My van is on 5” Peugeot rims and 145s, I only had to wind the lock stood out a couple of turns to prevent the tyres hitting the arms.

My 2 psi.
Michelin M&S are good.
The best all rounders are Vredestein, Snow + 155/80 x 15 and have good side-walls.

I managed to get them in a 4 wheel slide several times, cornering in moisty conditions. Never ever had that with another tyre.. The Minerva doesn,t lock at all, they are wider but lower (about 2cm) then a 125x15 Michelin so they don,t lock.. Also the steering is very light.. So Im happy..

Re: Mud & Snow Tyres
I guess they are designed for mud and snow, and not for clearing water!

Re: Mud & Snow Tyres
I think the widt is the problem you get less pressure on the ground by widening the tyre. Also seen the light weight of a 2cv. Look the tyre sizes of the french ice and snow races (thophee andros), very narrow. https://s14-eu5.startpage.com/cgi-bin/s ... 64b096b9d0

Re: Mud & Snow Tyres
I have the Micelin M&S tyres and they are great, a nice ride. No issues at all.

Re: Mud & Snow Tyres
Yep they feel good and fuel economy/top speed is only mildly affected. I've dropped from 46.7mpg to 43. Top speed still about 75.

Re: Mud & Snow Tyres
I must remember to look to see what my M&S tyres are! Only bought them because I wanted the rims. They have tread on though, so a shame to take them off.
