I think I'm going to put this in a box and 'forget' about repairing it for now ;) . You've got to love boiled cardboard...but I don't  .

I'm the same in that I'm trying to get the Shedouin back on the road and keep finding things to do. :)

I did repair my sunvisor. Throw the carton in water for a while and press between 2 pieces of wood to dry straight. Open the metal edge a bit with a thick screwdriver. If all is dry start putting on the metal edge hammering it carefully close. Make a aluminium strip the same size as the metal strip on the hinge. Put the thing together and put in new rivets. It worked but the carton is residing from the edge again after 2 summers. Maybe i didn't close the edge good enough...

I wondered about wetting the flamer before pressing it, I'll have a go at some point, but like Roger says, you've got to stop the 'to do' list, else it'll be Winter :) .

Daisy likes it, that's the main thing :D .

And for you all of you who've helped me on this Flamin' journey,

what better than this quote: "Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads".

Cheers Bois!

Right, that's that, I've got a woodshed to fill up :) .

I guess as one journey comes to an end, other (countless) ones begin

Well done, you are a flamin' inspiration :)

That should be enough, back to the van, after servicing the Charleston though.

You did put the van behind the wood so you have a barnfind after the winter?
