Hi all got a few charging issues with my acadiane, s3ms when its warm it stops charging and tickover increases, if I take a live to to the battery from the exiter car on the alternator she starts charging pics of alternator and regulator as below Sam thinks possible visa alternator.

Someone had a similar problem not to long ago. If I recall it was cured with new brushes. Heat expansion was breaking a contact.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, it's probably electrical (or, an electric fuel pump!) ....

Take them out and take a look. :)

I did that they look ok one is shorter than the other I did a resistance test on them when cold and was fine from the contact on the ring to the connector end

The exciter wire looks like it has a nasty kink in it a couple of inches from the alternator. Is the wire good ?

I'll check the resistance with a wiggle good spot!
