What make is the old shell? If it is the same clip system you could try and swap the old with the new clip. Or is the problem elswere?

So the Ducellier reflector fits inside the shell, resting snugly against the lugs and fastening with the screw at the bottom.

The Valeo reflector is that much bigger and is designed to fit against the outside of the shell with a bottom lug in a slot in the shell and held at the top by a spring loaded clip.
I'm forced to do this but will keep all the old stuff to give to the next steward. :) (after Im gone  ).

Yes you need special Ducellier type reflectors for that one. Rather hard to find. The new ones are Cibie type. So that won't work... Good luck. You need special ducellier bulbholders (douilles) for that too. The other 2 makes (marchal - Cibie) had this bulbholders too but in the past, they are all make specific. I found out at the MOT i did put new NOS bulbholders from an other maker in my 57 and it turned out they had a completely different focus points.

Time to find out if the Chrysler Teal Blue Pearlescent is a match.

Primer filler two pack, the disadvantage for me is that with the flaming hardener added, any excess is wasted, you can't pour it back into the paintcan.

A quick blow over with base coat (just to see) which is paint and thinners and no added colours or preservatives, laquer will follow later...much later probably. One big issue on this wet day is water coming down the line and through the gun. Hopefully I can get some sort of filter/trap device to overcome this. Still, when wet, the paint seems to be a pretty good match 8-) . Daisy says I might have to spray the whole flamin' van though  .

Tell me about it, it would have been so much easier to go with AC 083 ( :!: ) or one of the endless greys...
Anyway, I'm off to the tent to gaze at it again, I've waited a long, long time for this moment, Hic!.

Be careful with that thinner-stuff, It can affect the material of the tent.
It happened to the foil-tunnel I used to work in. It completely collapsed !
