Ooh clean floor!.

Fitted the front diff prop shafts, they fit but very tight near the gearbox about 10mm clearance.

Unexpected problems do occur or is it bad planning:)

The input shaft to the remote gearbox had some play, had a look at the seal found it was a bad condition.

Chevronics do a seal (££££) for GS/GSA boxes but the LN is about 1.5mm larger!

So a bit of milling it was substituted sealed bearing.

We will have to see if its OK.

Input Shaft.

The list of things to do, should get shorter.

However it seems that the plan to use a standard exhaust with cross-box wont fit:(

Bigger calipers + the rear plate of the diff gets in the way.

Plan to fabricate an exhaust from mandrel bends...2 into 1 very sporty?

Red lines show the plan, but as we are all very aware "Red Lines" can change or even disappear!!!

Can't make the exhaust till the body is sitting on the chassis and can't do that until I have a transfer shaft fitted.

What is required, "the middle part".
But, not happy with getting it welded.

Some difficult milling/turning/drilling and lot of Google.

Bit of a challenge but nothing ventured.....

Hi all,

Back again after a long period of no work on the off-road car or the road car.

Turning & Milling required to join the two uj's to make the shaft between the clutch shaft and the remote gearbox.
