Have been thwarted by the flamin' cold and snowy weather, dragged meself away from the woodstove long enough to clean and test this.

It works fine. There should be two horns on this old timer, what does the other one look like and is it deeper in tone?

The other looks like a horn and sounds softer.
Does your horn/light switch have double contacts?

Yes exact. The horn shaped one is on the first contact, if you push the button further the second horn cuts in. Nice noisy...

I think they are different generation. The old pedal is put in flat on the floor pointing direction seat. Hooked in and moved forward. Then the rubber is clicked on to the accellerator rod. See this pic don't pay attention to the arrow. You can try and replicate this or find a 60s pedal...

Cheers Fer,

The old floor was still there when I got the van but had rusted out and the previous owner had made two inserts and pop riveted them in over what was left. He then popped a piece of hinge onto the bottom of the pedal and onto the chassis. Fair enough, I'll see if I can get it back to how it should be ;) .

It's an interesting repair too. ;-) The pedal hinge is the same type like those of the doors and bonnet.

but it's 145mm. diameter, too big eh? They do an oval one too, 110x82.
