Enough 46mm nuts for the spring-tubes, that are good enough to re-use.

That is a worry!

No! I found lots of good 46mm nuts and salvaged 4 good threaded tubes. I'm always amazed at how some parts can be rusted to buggery and yet the same component on the same vehicle can be fine.

I cleaned up, lubed and reassembled the suspension assembly and fitted the rear axel last week.
Any tips on sorting out seized rear brakes?

I can see how people get carried away cleaning/paining stuff in a rebuild, it's so tempting

Interestingly of the 8 tie rod end loops I had at my disposal, two had hairline cracks in them - somebody had probably been running around on them and never noticed. Did make me wonder why people fit grease nipples there, seems dodgy.

Will build up the engine and gearbox next. I have a known good low milage engine that's 'naked' and a complete engine thats seized.

I'll transfer all the ancillaries over to the good one. Weirdly I have 4 LH bottom metal cowlings and 2 RH tops... but can't find the rest of the sets

Does anyone have narrow rear bumper mounts?
