Re: AZL 1957
Swapped the two 57s. The yellow one had it's usual problem. Not starting due to non burning old petrol. Those modern fuels are rubbish. So cleaned the carb out put new fuel in it. Cleaned one dirty sparkplug a pull at the starter button and vroom it started running. 6 volt standing uncharged for about 6 months. I don't know why so much people are changing their 6 volt systems over to 12 in their oldtimers...

Re: AZL 1957
I am taking a centrifugal clutch unit apart. On the green one it it isn't working soft like it should. I think there is a problem with the springs in the clutch. It feels like it engages un even over the clutch plate. It shudders til i release the pedal completely. Had a fight with the bearing in the second flywheel. But it's out now, in finding a new one it turns out it is a type that is used in washingmachine drums. So that will easy up things

Re: AZL 1957
Doorlock was not working well and the handle slipped through. Took the lock apart and filed the edges of the lock nose and the hole square. So it catches well on the handle again. Always some little jobs on an old car.

Re: AZL 1957
Yesterday evening i wanted to drive the 57 to a friend. But the headlights didn't function anymore. So i had to borrow an other car. It was strange because the day before i came home from work and all worked well. So this morning it did have check in the snow. It turned out that the mass connector of the righthand lamp was a bit oxydized. The lefthand lamp did get the mass from the right one. After cleaning both were functioning well again.
