Yes, she's a '53 S8 (..with skinny tyres) which is my 'daily ride' (pending weather 'cause otherwise I use the car). The panniers are leather and of a useful size but have another 20 years to go before the patina will be right.
This winter I hope to be reassembling (following total strip down restoration) her bigger sister, an S7 that was on the front cover of the book 'A Bit More Fry & Laurie' ;)

Re: What Else Do You Drive?
Have to add this Bentley S3 as its one of the loves of my life. Just pretending its mine really, I look after it but don't pay the bills. Haha It does give me a lot of car joy, it is extremely heavy on maintenance and has the oddest mechanicals ever, but its a very beautiful machine. Still does 110 too! Maybe 115 but i never feel like pushing that point... Super high tech really for a '64 car. Electric windows, 4 speed trans, air con and electric sunroof. The best bit is 6.3 litres of gorgeous torque. Attachment:

Re: What Else Do You Drive?
Sweet Yugo! Amazing that any of those still exists in a working conditon. Did anyone in US ever take care of them except you? In every "worst car ever"-contest based in the US, Yugo always "won"... My other cars: Daily driver on salty winter roads: Xsara break 1,6i Daily driver within a couple of months: C5 V6 petrol, 1.st generation Daily driver except winter time : 2cv or 307 CC, both with roof open as often as possible. I'd rather wear a wollen hat, scarf and gloves instead of the roof Daily driver, wife edition: C4 GrandP, 2.0 hdi Summer delights: Ami Super Berline, GS Club and my 2cv of course Projects: too many (azu, ami, 2cv, Fiat Coupe, Multipla and 238. Ford Taunus V6, VW LT Karmann camper). Luckily, I have a quite large garage/barn for them..

Ianredspecial wrote: Do people mind a non-2cv related thread? We have one on another forum I'm on and it was really interesting to see what else people had. Nice idea. This is my other vehicle, also an air/oil cooled flat twin - possibly a pattern developing here as this is my second GS in ten years, I sold my first two years ago with 104,000 miles recorded and still as much fun as when new. I don't own a modern car, I leave that to my other half lol.
