Re: AZL 1957
Bugger. Once was enough for me. What a mess it made! Did it good in the end though, after the clean up...

Re: AZL 1957
last time was almost 1 year ago. When changing the ignition coil 2 weeks ago it still was greasy underneath.... well it's a sort of rust prevention you shouldn't try at home... I had a collegue who had this with his dyane. When he opened the bonnet in his nice white suit the oil came running down his sleeves....

Re: AZL 1957
Mine still drips on the wings a little from the bonnet soundproofing mat.
It smoked so much when it did it, I really thought the car had caught fire... I'd managed so long without doing it!

Re: AZL 1957
Took the blocked carb out of the green 1957. I had another clean one lying around. When i put it in i did see it was 18hp version. The car now pulls very good, but the other side of the medal is it doesn't have much engine brake anymore. So i am cleaning an other 12hp version to put in again later when the thing is cooled down.

Re: AZL 1957
The ivory 57 got it's kingpins greased, green 57 was partly dismantled at the front so it's original engine can be put back in soon.

Re: AZL 1957
Green 57 has it's engine taken out. On the ivory 57 i had to drill a bolt of the shockabsorber out.

Re: AZL 1957
i had it once with my 2cv6 on the motorway. They have a stretch here near maastricht that is to flat so the water doesn't run of well. I was driving down in a rainstorm and at once the car revved up without me getting more speed. Then it drifted slowly in direction of the side lane. There with a shudder it got grip again. So it's possible
