 Re: Forum signatures
Joe,
Neil is expressing it a little strongly, p'raps - but I strongly agree with the basic sentiment Russ & he express. You have agreed to pay that price for that car. If you can't afford it, you shouldn't have bid. It's that simple. By all means, speak to the guy and explain the predicament. If he's a sound bloke, you might get lucky, but expect no more favours from him - and if ever you meet him, buy him a pint for his generosity. Remember that it will be generosity on his part.
The fact is that you HAVE agreed to buy that car for that price, and you DO owe him that money.
The ONE time you have a get-out is if the car is not as described.

 Re: Forum signatures
oooo errr.... i havent actually done that guys.... i was kinda joking... it ended at like 8am this morning when i was catching flies and dribbling everywhere! course i knew it would have been wrong to bid again.... hence why i steered well clear of it this time...
quick edit... should read more : toomany, he has already relisted the car.. and its already sold, well it got 1 bid, whether its a genuine bid or not i dunno...

 Re: Forum signatures
Joe, Did you see those red square head light shells on ebay about a week ago. It would be cheaper to convert you current 2cv to a club than buy another car like mine which needs alot doing to it. Club 2cv lights can come on ebay quite often from broken cars. You could try a 2cv breaker....Depends how desperate you are. (sorry can't spell) Regards Tom
