Not sure if I catch your drift, but if you're meaning "Why have the photos got long number IDs?" there's a simple answer. I copied them from my Facebook post on the '2CV Technique World Wide' and my computer allocated those numbers to each photo. I could have spent time giving them a name but couldn't be arsed. Perhaps I should next time if it'll stop me having to spend time explaining the reason.

Had you considered just having the bumper shotblasted? most places would only charge a quid or two to do that and only a couple more to hot zinc prime it, ready for you to spray in your chosen colour, it'd give a much more professional result with much less effort.

Post Re: My 2cv
So back on the 6th October I was out in the 2CV enjoying a beautiful sunny day when I noticed a bloody big pick-up truck coming the other way. I was heading up hill on a narrow road and had passed the pull in on my side of the road, so kept going as it was my right of way. The road actually bends pretty close to 90 degrees to the left with a side road on the right. The driver of the pick-up truck was clearly looking straight ahead (ie. up the side road), so I took it he was heading that way. As I approached the bend I became aware that the truck was coming quite quickly around the bend so I stopped the car. Next second the 3 ton pick-up truck twatted the front of the 2CV and pushed me around ten foot back down the road. You can imagine the damage sustained. Anyway, the driver admitted responsibility and liability has been settled in my favour. The local garage was given the go ahead to get the car fixed about 7 weeks ago and the parts have finally arrived on Tuesday this week. Fingers crossed the car will be fixed after the New Year.

Still fucking waiting for the garage to collect the car and get it fixed! 18 weeks have now passed since the car was twatted. Shetland Time makes Irish Time look positively Germanic. I'm still hoping the car will be fixed in time for the 2CV's 70th in 2018. Well, I can dream.

Top quality ITV Studios' production where all the characters have Glaswegen accents that are nothing like a shetlandic accent.

I know how frustrating that is. I put a car in for some blisters on two wheel arches last year. Three months! Meant to take two weeks max. Boy was I glad to get it back..
