replacement wheels
just wondering if anyone has purchased some wheels lately ? mine are the originals but rusty !
I see franzose have them and claim to be the only supplier who sells the original pressed and spot welded ones, although they have to be painted over the coating they come with
Is this just good marketing , or are the other suppliers wheels ,Ecas etc selling something slightly different I was going to get them blasted and powder coated ,but I doubt they will get the rust out of the seams they can be bought painted , think they were £60 each or something cheers Matt

Re: replacement wheels
Hi Matt just bought one here : http://www.renov-2cv-mehari36.com/en/ty ... -gray.html Bill for wheel, tyre, & a cill was £135 delivered, same from Roy; £190. Would rather buy from Roy but... However. It not arrived yet - 7 days quoted, ordered yesterday - will comment on wheel when arrived. Have used them before and it was perfectly fine. mike

Re: replacement wheels
the 2cv is supposed to be cheap transport --paying that for a wheel is daft then buying tyers on top

Re: replacement wheels
I'm going for Michelin wheels, since one of my 2cv City set has gone wonky.

Re: replacement wheels
Wheel & tyre turned up last monday Tuesday a big box arrived from Franzose with a load of other bits I ordered - including the cill that the French post wouldn't take... Post from Germany clearly faster and more accomodating!
