 Re: Rusty's cars (custom Pick-up)
The burgundy with black one? thats an Austin 7 Ruby; 1937, next to my PU is an Citroën AC4F; 1932, behind the austin is an Aero 10; 1932 and behind the PU is a Triumph Spitfire; 1975, unfortunately neither one of those is mine... all my dad's cars! but I can drive them if I want to, that's even better! no maintenance, e.t.c.!
by the way, 2 weeks ago I finished all the welding on my PU!!!! so now working on getting it smoooooooth! some filler here and there, but not much needed (except some parts on the body) will make some more pics this weekend, hopefully it will be a bit cooler then last couple of weeks, it was to freaking hot to work with filler, by the time I mixed it I had about 2 minutes to put it on, then it already started to harden! even put half the normal amount of harder in it and still had problems!
greetzzzzzzz

 Re: Rusty's cars (custom Pick-up)
Finally been able to do something the last couple of days! This will be the engine for the Pick-up, will put it in my Diane (aka fugly) first to test it and tune it for optimal performance. setup will be following: Visa (V06-630) AMI super gearbox with Visa bellhousing double dellorto carb 12-spark double exhaust (using adapted original crossbox) changed exhaust mounting nice to have a lathe at home, making adapters for the carbs determining the position of the carbs everything in position airfilterbox, need to make a pipe for the turbotube nice compact construction if I may say so myself , I think it will fit under the bonnet of a kitcar as well. Greetzzzzzzzzzzz, Rusty

I do hope so!
will have to clean/ repaint the engine covering tins, well actually have to take the engine all apart, check the insides, change the pistons and cylinders (NOS!!), rework the heads, increase the compression as much as possible, I just assembled it to see if everything fits.
greetzzzzzzzzzz

 Re: Rusty's cars (custom Pick-up)
It's alive! finally after many many hours of tinkering the engine and box are together and in the car! I do have to install all the gauges I want to put in and be able to read oilpressure, temperature RPM and Lambda. Also the carbs need tweaking, furst couple of testruns were pretty terrible, The engine doesn't respond well at all when I hit the pedal.. apart from that I had some 'slight issues' on the way, but all have been solved! Because I mixed different types of cilinders and heads I lost the groove to mount the oilseal between those 2. fortunately we (dad and I ) came up with a solution! adapterdisks: pickup for 12-spark complete unit!: it fits! greetzzzzzzzzzz

 Re: Rusty's cars (custom Pick-up)
Thnx! the funny thing is, this Diane is the shittyest car I've ever owned/ driven, patched on all sides/ corners and still quite some crispy bits here and there (now solved with sealant and bits of metal), painted partially with a brush (iron oxide red), different color rear fenders and bootlid etc, etc, etc... but underneath the bonnet it is SHINY
