Post 1-2-Squirt...
Well here it is at last..... I have Megasquirted my Ami 8 to LPG*, (My nickname is LPGo b.t.w.)
But I want to make my own injection-system in the (near) future...

For now just a quick question.. Does anybody now the opnening en closing angles of the inlet- and outletvalves of a standard 2cv.. Can't find anything at the net...

This is what I'm trying to achive...
Attachment:
semi sequantial.jpg

Ok. I know the sensor comes at 45 degrees so from there I can count the opening times of the injectors.....

* Converted my AMi 8 to LPG-injection this Christmass Holyday, but I want to 1-2-squirt it...

I have almost everything already worked out in my ignition so injection must be doable....

Thanks Geo..

Good plan Geo! let me know when you need a test driver ;)

This is what I have here in my dutch "Vraagbaak" for ami6 &8.
I never looked at valve timing so closely, but do find this long opening of the exhaust valve into the inlet stroke in this diagram a little strange..
However I looked in a pdf Vraagbaak I have as well and it gave the same values..

Years ago I measure valve timing on a full engine with heads and I can't imagine I did get such odd diagrams.

Thanks Bart..

I know it is strange, but this is exacly the spot where you drain the petrol right into the exhaust... Now the art is to squirt (sequential) into the inletvalve when the exhaust valve is closed..

But for now I will start like the drawing above... semi sequential..

I'm thinking using a BMW (1150/1200) throttlebody adapted to the original manifold.. a highpressure petrolpump, a fuelregulator and a returnpipe...

With Megasquirt I'm using only the mapsensor, I don't need a throttle position sensor at all...

Would be great having you as a testdriver (living almost next door).. but it will take a while, I'm just gathering information at the moment...

Geo,
From an Autobooks manual, for Citroen Dyane & Ami.
Seems closer to the mark than the diagram Bart's got hold of.
Afaik, the 602 camshaft is mild rather than wild, with not much valve overlap around TDC.

Inlet opens, before TDC.......... 0 deg. 15 min.
Inlet closes, after BDC............ 49 deg. 15 min.
Exhaust opens, before BDC....... 35 deg. 55 min
Exhaust closes, after TDC......... 3 deg. 30 min.

( p.s. Looks as though that Dutch publication got their closing points for inlet and exhaust valves mixed up.
Perhaps they are your equivalent of our Haynes manuals? )

Your a master of your own universe Geo!
Luv ya work ;)
I may be of no use, but I found this:
Revised configuration of a 2CV engine for the study of the motion of air and droplets in the intake and compression strokes as functions of speed and load

What benefits you are looking with (semi)sequential injection? There is so little time to inject fuel, it is only possible to inject near idle and small throttle openings when inlet valve is open, so most time injecting is happening when valve is closed...

It can make better result with pollutions, but doesn't really improve MPG...

Just asking, it is really nice that you think and also make things to work, don't understand me wrong... For me it sounds you are inventing a wheel again, sorry...

ok. who is making injection systems for a 2cv then????????

and ofcourse your right, but then it is my wheel....... for me that does it.. I'm doing this for myself and hey if somebody likes it and I can help I will do.. Take a look at my ignition...

It is so cool to make your car run on a self made ignition and it will be even cooler to let it run at my own injection system...

Bringing my Megasquirt (KDFI) back to live last week was such a pain in the ass, that I'm starting to think about 1-2-Squirt.....

@ Harley, thanks I saw them too but they are all not standard, so no use to me..

No one. That makes my opinion to change, if you are making a bolt-on solution, to users what can't, wan't or what-so-ever make all what is needed when conversing carb to efi...

What will be cost, with when have full kit to install? I know it differs a lot, when making efi with Megasquirt, my first what I have driven seven years cost about 200€ back then. With all it needed, but most of the parts was from wrecked cars from backyard. Also, year after, it took about 900€ to convert H-D Sportster with Microsquirt and mostly new parts.

Would 1000€ be enough..?

That is the dutch equivalant of Haynes, yes + your values make much more sense.
I looked valve timing values of visa 652 earlier tonight (in my visa book) and they are similar your 2cv values as well.
