Post Engine overhaul, but on tape!
Hi all,

Like a lot of A-type owners I have a few spare engines randomly lying around in my garage.
A long time ago, without that much knowledge I began to overhaul one of them and decided to tape it.
However after the first few episodes The Navy called an I've been away for a long long time.
But now I'm back and started again, this time from the comforts of my living room. The first new episodes are online and the rest will trickle in over the coming weeks/months.

The videos are not too long but it's kinda slow-tv, please enable annotations because there's some info there. You can view them here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... _UqNpEtmC9

Feedback, both technical and filmwise is always appreciated.

These are great! Very nicely shot. I love the hi-def and the colours.

One bit of constructive criticism: in some places I found myself wanting to fast forward. For example, do we have to watch the entire unscrewing process of each bolt? On the video you posted above (27 May) the unscrewing of the bolt takes from 0:10 to 0:35. You could cut out from 0:12 to 0:32 without spoiling the narrative.

Other than that I think your vids are splendid and really look forward to seeing the next installment.

Thanks. I've chosen to do the video's with not too much cutting because now you can sift trough the bits that you find interesting yourself.

Last week I slammed the camshaft on a lathe and measured a lot of stuff:

There's only one problem, all the tolerances I can find are for 602's. Does somebody has a source that has the information for a 435?
