After a lovely walk in splendid weather on the North Malverns (along with a load of nutters running/walking them end to end 4 times - a total of 56 miles!) thrashed along the A449 to Ross - open topped and lost a Beemer on the twisty bits as it gets nearer to Ross.....RT will know which bit I mean!

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Interesting problem today - anchored on, on a small lane in the south Malverns, to avoid a pheasant road kill and then ran like a pile of crap all afternoon with stuttering on light throttle.
Got back to holiday house and lifted carb top off and generally cleaned it up in the bowls which did have crap in them and put a very small safety pin through the main jet and now seems to run perfectly....note to self - buy an in-line fuel filter!

I gave my 2CV the "full" [12000 mile?] service today [new plugs,gearbox oil,engine oil & oil filter,clean air filter,grease kingpins & knife edges,etc] Then took it for a short drive just to get the fresh oil circulating through the filter etc  ......and left a Direwoo Matiz for dead  on the dual carriageway coming back home   ......it made my day,and my 2CV is all ready to roll this summer T.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Left Worcester at 4:30am and I'm in Stonehaven now. That's 430 miles with about 15 or so to go. Decided to try ear plugs as such a prolonged drive in the 2CV affects my hearing. I'm pleased to announce that my hearing is unaffected and I don't have a headache. Well worth the three quid spent.
