Used mine for work today, got to the car park as two other colleagues had just turned up - they commented on Cosette and thought she was "lovely" :)

And rightly so 8-)

... I got busy with a socket set and a spanner:

I'm not a natural: first turn of the socket and I trapped my thumb; later, I shed blood when I trapped my left index finger; finally, I almost poked my eye out on the battery support clip :o

Oh, and see that clump of earth on the paving - that's Ae Forest that is! After the Wanlockhead trip it travelled up to Shetland and then down to the West Midlands, stuck in the chassis leg like cheese in a borer. Now there'll always be a part of Scotland in my garden ;)

Hit a pheasant whilst doing about 50mph. Luckily it hit the top of the windscreen frame and bounced off without damaging the car!

I will never forget, my boss hit a swan with a Toyota camry also at the upper winscreen frame. It was about 20 inches backwards bended..... including the roof which was completely rippled......

So you where very Lucky.....

I know, it was a close one! The roof was fully open too!

Fitted wider main jet, new wiper spindles and whilst at it changed the park position - why have I never done this before it's so easy!

Having looked at your lovely new D*lly,I'm now tempted to remove the plum coloured quarters off my rear doors,as they are faded and crumbly at the edges

Well Bob, I have seen a P & C D*lly local to me done in exactly that way. All the lower half was plum and the upper custard. Look alright actually, don't have a photo of it though.
On another note, I drove my new D*lly past Tamworth on the A42/M42 today.

I was hard at it sorting out our garden before we return to France next month. I guess with all the things I have to get sorted the stickers will not get stripped off. :-)

Drove it. For the first time in two years. With a full compliment of shock absorbers for the first time in three years. With structurally sound sills, floors and bulkhead for the first time in five years.

Also without any doors, wings or bonnet.

:D
