Surely what you really want to avoid is the "don't buy his product it's crap buy mine instead" posting.

So long as there's a reasoned explanation of why, and no toys get ejected from prams if statements don't get taken at face value or questions get asked, then I see no reason to avoid those.

What I like about I2F is that there is no pretence of democracy. There are no rules, Russ and Neil reign supreme, and I'm ok with that. I have no doubt that any outright vindictive behaviour would be dealt with swiftly, but rules aren't needed as common sense and camaraderie prevail, rather than rules: the reason the 2cvGB forum is slow and dull is that the users are too afraid of mentioning anything that may offend anyone.

There's a bizarre misconception in society that as a user you have 'rights' or that your opinions matter. Neither are true. Facebook changed it's privacy settings again? Delete your account.
ITV progamming a bit rubbish? Switch it off.

If I didn't like it here, I wouldn't be here. The, dare I say, runaway success of this forum is due to it's 'free for all' nature and I think Russ and Neil do a top job in managing and paying for it, for all our enjoyment.

Cheers chaps.

I agree with everything Sam said.

Now, would anybody like to buy some high-quality 2CV chocolates and condoms that I've developed? They're only a quid. Valentines is coming, and ladies love a man bearing chocs and an A-series shaped bell clapper, or so my business development advisor told me. ;)
