Not sure

Been so busy not much time to visit forum, car or do many things :-( havent even see the car for a while , im a bit rusty on how to use 1-2 spark again, but in the car are all my notes from mark so will have a read

I think it was probably the vac hose, but im going to try replacing the vac hose, and also the coil when i have some money

Geo can you send me a link to the "right" vac hose on ebay geo??

Hopefully i try to use the car this week and see how it is

I also need to find the "cold" tables too Have you got a link geo ,,?

I think it could be coil or coil not behaving as its nearly 26 years old so not a suprise if its dodgy , So is yellow coil best with 1-2?

Even without vac hose it was missing when hot ..... Fine on short journeys

Mark geo or anyone can you send me your "cold table" / medium table? So i can burn it and have a play ..?

Ps smaller number, more advanced, when pinks put bigger number in (just need refreshing'!!)

Post Re: 1-2-spark
I can send you a new vac hose, I'm using now the real stuff..... pm me your adress again and I will send you some.......

about pinking.... Higher numbers starts pinking (or makes it worse),
lower numbers stops pinking (or makes it less) it is as easy as that.......

about coil, yes it can be the coil, a new yellow coil is a very good choise.....
no problem..
but can't you borrow a coil to test before buying a new one.... just to be sure.....

here are the latest tables (and software..)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/w7tw449pbo5wfjs/1-2-Spark%20cd.zip

table 1 contains the highest advance numbers in your language it is the hottest table (switch in the middle position)
table 2 is the middle one.
table 3 is the lowest table it contains the lowest advance numbers in your language it is the coldest table (switch in upper or down position you need to check with the laptop)...

Post Re: 1-2-spark
Here's a little update about 1-2-Spark....

Been at the Dutch 2cv forum for a while now and have my own 1-2-spark topic over there but there are lots of criticism about that I only am making advertisment for my product.......

I've told them that I'm only very enthousiastic about my ignition, so may I write that down....

Anyway... news...

I've ordered again 10 pcb's, so I can make another batch of 10 kits, I'am going to pick them up tomorrow....

Further I'm lobbying to have them soldered together professionaly again (last time it went very wrong), but now it looks promising....

I've made some progress at the pcb also, now the alu cooling rib is thightend to the pcb as Saurus mentioned (I noticed it too). There's also a connection for a coolanttemperature sensor, so when the engine gets hot the ignition can be retarded (after Spain this year this seems very neccecary. Aqually I have the sensor going tonight but need to make the software going both in PC en chip.....

Another thing is a working bluetooth connection. You don't need a cable between unit and laptop so I can tune the car sitting in the chair in my livingroom; now this is very 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Post Revision 6 is on it's way
Collected the new PCB's today.... revision 6 already

Just had to solder 1 together to see if they work and ofcours they do.

Looking good, a big advantage above the last version is that the cooling part is now atached to the pcb which is a good improvemant, I've also made some progress at making the ignition even less vonerable to emd noise, voltage spikes ect.... so I think were almost at the point that I can compete with any other (electronic) ignition.....

Here are some pics of the bluetooth module...

Normally the units sits upsite down inside the car underneath the shelf, you can plug the module easily in...

Well I think there is already a copycat active to copy my ignition     p.s. the iron is off.... so please don't call animal protection...

Geo

Idea

Whatabout somehow developing an iphone app to tune 1-2 via bluetooth? That'd be cool!

With Blue tooth etc - would each one work on different password etc.... With GP teams they still down load data with cables. Much more reiable and less chance of a TWAT altering something
