Went Sloe (well it is a 2cv) and blackberry picking, roof back with Glen Miller blaring out :-)

I had a friend who went on 'Stars in their Eyes'. Mathew Kelly asked him who was going to be and he replied "Glen Miller". He turned and walked into the fog, and has been seen since.

I've used the 2CV to take a trip down to Lerwick today. The weather is beautiful.

Finally got round to sorting the brakes out - Bled them and adjusted them and now they work fine.

Off to http://www.carrosseriederrips.com on Monday for an estimate for full restoration. Just hope he doesn't come back all red and white chequers as this is the guy that does the Tour de France Couchonou 2CVs.

End of my work season now so full time on the cars and the house - looking forward to it.

Did a quick fill up (at the petrolstation) of the 1-2-Spark 2cv test car... I think in the last 2 years it has run on over 20 diffrent ignition units...... Before I deliver an ignition I run it for 1 or 2 days in this car....... At the moment it is running on a kit which is going to an LPG converted Ami 8 here in the Netherlands.. Then Harleys unit is going in with the LS2 (active) coils.......

Took a trip into our local town for the Market. Still so warm here and my windows don't open yet

Had to use the crank handle to start him back up. I think I still have an issue with my charging circuit (more later). My little girl Molly enjoyed the breeze :D :D

How trivial can it get?

Saturday - serviced it
Sunday - nowt, took my lad to Uni in my other car
Monday - went to work in it, decided to take the rest of the week off
Tuesday - popped some clobber over to my lad in it, decided to wear my recently acquired on hols in France beret too, after a few miles decided wearing a beret was weapons grade and so chucked it on the back seat
Wednesday - vacuum cleaner died, went and bought a new one in it (Dyson DC40 animal if you must know, traded in an Electrolux Loopie)
Thursday - went to Staples in it and bought a stapler funnily enough
Friday - who knows what adventures are yet to come?

did some work on a crappy charleston today garage couldn't get the electrics to work or the wipers to go. started but dead electrics.

corroded ignition terminals, corroded fuse holders( despite the fuses having been tested and replaced) tricky hazard switch "slow" indicator can, corroded earths in the indicators and sticky relays in the dim dip fiasco. The wipers had gone over centre and jammed. Needless to say the car is a few electical items lighter and some nice new cable should see the list of electrical woes sorted. Still wont pass an MOT as there is no floor adjacent to the seat rail and the A pillar is flapping in the wind despite the favoured "Welding expert" having taken the cream off the job
