Give him a chance to get back! It must take all of 20 minutes to drive all the way around Unst.

What are the temperatures like there?

A very pleasant 16 degrees. It's so nice that I've spotted the local Morris Minor Convertible out and about, and its hood is open too. First time I've seen it as such.

Greased the Dyane's kingpins, in the first bit of car maintenance I've ever done ever!

Fitted a new 2cv boot and dug the filler out of the bonnet hinge to see what lurks beneath. Then ordered a bonnet hinge repair panel, as it's worse than I feared :(

Put the normal exhaust on it, mused over the cracked wheel but did nothing about it, took the towbar off, cleared the blocked jet.

Fitted a replacement crossbox, but had a right dickens of a job to get the pipes all married up. Consequently, it's blowing at the joints, so the car sounds like a Spitfire, or at the very least a noisy motorbike. I love it, although it frightens horses and people tend to stare a bit. Will have to sort it out... maybe at the weekend.

i was going to take the 2cv to the revival on friday, but its always a nightmare trafic jam getting out, and i now have a dvd player in the truck so can watch a film whilst queueing

technically speaking, it wasn't today, but I recently moved home - and Hugo did the honours:

the biggest thing that I own is the sofa, which fitted quite nicely in the back of the van:

the heaviest thing that I own is my CD collection - around 1000 CDs plus a bit of vinyl (and then some cassettes) and the associated racks... which all went in one go:

He also moved the entire contents of the garage, including an engine &gearbox combo and several sets of metal shelving, not to mention a couple of dozen spare wheels (Fiat/Citroën, since scrapped) - a real workhorse 8-)
