Fitted my temp roof bar/rack for trip to DIY at Angouleme. Chuffed that a couple of lengths of wood and some tubing from old curtain poles work so well. :-)

Started making a new one. I'm planning on finishing 60% of it then losing interest then selling it at a loss

Coincidentally, that's my strategy too!

Currently down in Lerwick for the day, in the 2CV. I've uploaded another thrilling video to Tube of You, '2CV in Lerwick, Shetland'. Just for the hell of it. There's not enough 2CV action online.

Stipped all four knife edges off to give them a good greasing. Could not believe the grooves in the ends - been greasing them regular - the original ones that had been on there for 35 years were bone dry and no grooves- Think modern ones are made from different material - new ones are 25mm longer thats why using them. :( :(

started going through last weeks remnants. have exploded race box and a totally siezed box from a garage in Glasgow
pulled gearboxes apart - siezed one was perfect late model that had simply unwound the selector ring - easy job will get new input and top rear bearing then built up as "Spare Race Box".

next is the exploded flywheel one - will cut up what's left of belhousing for a "set up the diff yoke with built in oil seal jig".
just need to find suitable casings for the refurbished internals.

Russ's engines next see what we have there. Ones a factory exchange the other is a late 80s.

weekend of oily fun in the shed - bliss.
