Did 2cvs EVER have that gearbox? It's an Ami 6 box, introduced before 2cvs went 602, so I'd thought the only 2cv that would have had that would have been an AZAM6.

The 2cv6 was introduced with the M28, which would have had a later style box, no?

Well, it's an old-style box. I dunno if it's Ami 6 or AZL or whatever - but it's an old-style one. I know that Vigo and Mangaulde did some "strange stuff" to use up old bits, and rather suspect this is similar.

so is the gear box crap or not? :?
or as a freak 2cv maybe its just doubled its value to collectors :D ....if its an old box I presume its not gonna handle the huge power and torque the big block is gonna give out? :o

chris I think that maybe the advanced course!!

erm...anyway throw me to the lions and hang me from the gallows but I´ve been mucking about this afternoon, after getting bored with de greasing and rigged up an improv visor made from the rear seat box floor that I chopped out, hence using the signature grooves of the old citroens, and trying to flatten the line of the roof (like a roof chop) yet continue the flow into the bonnet both on the x and y axes (if you know what I mean), the supports can follow the lines of the upfolded windows..what do you think?

I´ll see better when the roof is on, and it´ll need air flow up and over also (maybe through the slots?)
