Post Re: 1-2-spark
The Dutch 2cv forum member Janerik did some test between regular points/ 123 / and 1-2-spark....

It seems that 123 is advancing in steps of 4 degrees at once.... 1-2-spark is advancing linear so theres again a big bennefit in 1-2-spark.....

This saturday he is going to the Burton Dyno-day, then we will see the diffrence between 1-2-spark and 123....... Can't wait to see the result...

Implemented Spark-duration to the chip and software today, you can set it from 100 to 5000
Us (1 Us = 0.000001sec 8-) 8-) )

So using long dwell times at your coil and at high revs this can come handy....

But with known 2cv coils this never should be a problem so leave it to 1500....

Today Jameswalace received his 1-2-spark unit, with the latest features, so I've made a mounting instruction.
Feel free to make a better translation then my LPGo/google translation......

Here's the link to dropbox....

No, he went to the day, but when he wanted to test 1-2-spark, the pick-up was gone.....
It was a welded one (welded himself) he said it looked like a (little) piece of the flywheel came of,

All the pickups I welded are happy turning, so I don't know what the problem was.
It can be that the flywheel is cast iron, but I don't know for sure. Anybody here.....

Seems you have the best solution, with a bolt drilled and tapped into the flywheel
Maybee I'm going to make the pickup bolted too, with 2 little screws.....

So no results yet, after Spain I'm going to do my own dynoday I guess..... but no one will believe my results anyway, would be better one of you would do it.....

I am still planning to do dyno test just before Spa (Friday before) will need your help to arrange day with dyno near your house. But my test day will not be back to back with 123 only to see what improvements I can make with fine tuning of mixture and advance settings.

@banjo, Yes I think you are right, but is a 2cv6 flywheel steel or cast iron???

@chrisw, I will give them a call this week if it is possible Friday before Spa, I will try to make my Turbo 2cv also dyno ready by then, (I wrote at the dutch 2cv forum that I estimate that the car has 75 hp) , so now I want to proof that it is doing that.......)

If you can arrange for me in the morning of that day it would be great. I will stay in hotel near them the night before.

It was me going to the Dyno first run with 123 and second with 1-2spark but it won't start.
When i look whats the problem the pickup is gone.

I don't understand i drive 1000+ km with the 1-2 spark. The day before dyno day i did some changes at the advance table everything was runnig well.

Picture from pickup afer installation:

Picture after pickup is gone there are some little holes where i weld i look not smooth but more like welding cast iron.

I'm no metallurgist but by the look of the 'grain' on the back of a flywheel I would say it is cast!...
Question regarding fitting 1-2-Spark to A visa engine, with visa bellhousing:
can you use the original Visa sensor tooth and sensor hole in bellhousing?
I'm sure I remember reading it but just wanted to clarify...
