Exactly my thoughts RT when I saw the previous pictures - the "brass screw" will be a jet - it should have the size stamped on it somewhere......

Here we go ... this is a 135 jet, which is probably too big. But it should give you an idea of what the jet in your carb looks like.

That would make sense. Many thanks for your all your advice. Hopefully I haven't dug about in there too much and caused any damage! Will see if I can get a 125 for it. Cheers

Out of interest, where did this carburettor come from, as that's a very early version of the 26/35, usually set up for use with a rod operated throttle.
Before you dive in and order a 125 jet, best to check the size of the secondary main jet.
As with the primary main jet, it should have its size stamped onto the slotted head...

its an M5 threaded jet so there should be no end of suppliers of Mikuni jets on T'internet ( if you get no joy at a proper2cv emporium). They seem to have been fitted to ATVs, snowmobiles chainsaws ride on lawmmowers scooters motorbikes jet skis -just about anything with a medium sized petrol engine.

example picked at random

not sure Ken. I took car to local (Jersey) Citroen specialist (!?) as it kept cutting out. They diagnosed carb was u/s and had a reconditioned one that they put on - it looks quite new tbh. Anyway, it runs ok but just has usual flat spot (perhaps bigger than normal) and doesn't pull very hard.
I'm not sure where the carb came from but will visit the garage and ask for me info.
Do you have advice on what size the secondary should be if I put the primary to 125?

As fitted to 2CVs, the secondary main jet would have been 70 and that doesn't usually need to be changed, unless you're racing. ;)
It's usually possible to read that jet size without removing it, as long as the float bowl is empty.
