An M6 nut, welded to the sliding dust cover.
I've seen the grease nipple welded directly onto the same part, but prefer to have the option of removing/replacing the grease nipple.

Ken,
What does that central grease nipple actually screw into?

off to a Garage in Glasgow who have a 2cv in for insurance bodywork - but seem to have unwound the G'box in a spectacular way. as Ron says "if we can do it pissed at 3 in the morning - should be an easy shift in a nice, clean well equipped garage"

Change the box for a known good un and get the stuck one on the bench to sort out for a racer.

Fitted my £29.99 crossbox to the Yellow Shit Heap - what a pleasurable way to spend a morning. :D

Dug the red spesh out for the first time since 2009ish

After driving 450 miles from Aberdeen yesterday I haven't used the 2CV today, yet. I've checked the oil level earlier and topped it up, so will be getting it out in about an hour and taking it to WASPs meeting in Birmingham.

Finally got round to replacing the headlining in J... with some I bought off Matt soft tops somewhere between 5 and 10 years ago. You can't rush these things :-)

As for steering racks, I'd recommend a visit from Rick Pembro if you don't fancy tackling the job yourself. I didn't.

MOT fail today :( .
The sills on both sides are deemed rusty, as the have been patched at both ends its time to replace them.
Will do the floors at the same time, so work on the 4x4 will have to wait.

Will that be the same 4X4 in kit form that I saw when I collected the GS engine from you about 3 years ago!
