Well, given that I populate this forum with random threads, questions, answers and abuse I though I had better share what it's all about.
Having had it off the road for 4 yrs for a full custom resto  I got f@*%ed in the ass by an Egyptian just 6 months later on NY's eve
Image
After threatening him with my pregnant wife  his insurance payed me out at market value, less the cost I could get from a wrecker should I want too, so I came out with $AU9800, win.
Image
My brother is currently tin bashing it back into shape.
Image
He used the olds 4x4 winch and a BFT (big fuckoff tree) to pull it out
Image
removed the custom tail light panel in a hope to preserve it...
Image
Realised that a lot of the welds had cracked and the edges where squashed so now it will have a new ass! :D
Image
Getting there...

Kermit has been in the family since 1993ish, English import, it was the car I drove to pass my drivers licence and I have had it ever since...

Kermit started it's life as a '74 square headlight drummer...
Now it has a Channelled body, Suicide doors, Custom tailight panel, Removed 3rd window, Greasable font wheel bearings, Reinforced chassis, Chopped reclining GS seats, Uprated springs, Rose joint tie rod ends, LNA gearbox w/ GS disc brakes and calipers, Megasquirt multi point fuel injection

I have modified Visa 652cc which should be complete very soon!
Twin spark, Forged pistons, Larger inlet and exhaust valves, Custom cam, Anti surge oil pan, AMR 300 supercharger, 1-2-spark :D

Cheers,
Harley

I've seen the beast. Kermit can nearly keep up with a standard 602  Keep working

Tis true!
On Raid Viking we had two 2cvs that coukd out run Kermit on a straigh, driven by some young blood, I bet a few of the gray hairs could have done so also if it wasn't about fuel conservation!
I was suprised that after fitting 123 ignition that top speed didn't improve, also after fitting multi point fuel injection top speed didn't improve either... what does this tell us? Citroën knew what they where doing!
BUT what did improve was low and mid range torque & power and also throttle response, it is like a completely different motor, day vs night. It is still a stock, tired 602 on the inside, for now  so clearly my 1st gen 123 ignition is the bottleneck in my system atm.
Being able to overtake @110km/h in third gear is très fun though :D
Thx Neil, tis a pleasure being a part of I2CVF's.

Harley

love it - when I tell some Johnny come lately eejit, who has been on a street rod/hot rod forum about getting yank tanks (with all the finesse of a tractor) to go a bit faster - for about 15 seconds or 1/4mile, that you have to go some to make a 2cv "better" I get shot down in flames

Any hoo what coil are you running? Ive found the stock coil to be rather limiting, try one of the Harley Davidson sport coils designed for points ignition ( primary resistance of 3.Ohms or higher)

True that Sean, :-)
Yes I'm running the yellow Accel coil, worth the cost I believe, especially if you buy the black equivalent for the Harley

I don't understand, why don't you use the original black coil, I run mine for years now on Megasquirt/1-2-Spark and even running at over 1.5 bar of boost, it never misses a single beat...

It can make sparks longer as 1/2 an Inch so what do you need more.....

Chris W is also running a black coil on his turbo car (with 1-2-spark) and its not limiting at all... It's just a mind thing of you I guess... I say any other coil is wasted money.....
