Been flat out shifting tons of parts and old cars etc. Finishing a long overdue engine tomorrow and then on to your box. Sorry for the delay, it is mighty hard to juggle promised work and moving an entire business Cheers Viking_________________

Some damage to bronze spacer determine the backlash (lower gear train) Sorry no photos this time, too busy keeping up with demands. Also the 4th gear synchromesh was buggered (replaced with good used) Same for the 1st/reverse hub also good used. I replaced the input shaft bearing, the rest of the box bearings are OK except full of metal chips but cleaned out now. Both crown wheel bearings are gone, one badly pitted so 2 new bearing will be fitted. I'll ship the buggered and replaced parts for you to inspect Will update again Sunday, pack the box and ship it off Monday. Le Viking_________________

   |   Re: Sticking GearboxThat is great news. Don't forget the clutch plate too.
I did soak mine in washing liquid and it has come up ok but I don't want to risk fitting it a 3rd time to find it jumping again.

It may not be the friction plate. I noticed one spacer missing on the clutch fork axle. This may allow the fork to slide sideways when releasing the pedal

   |   Re: Sticking GearboxAll done. Found out why one spacer was not fitted. The fork was replaced earlier, it is wider that original leaving no room for the original 2 spacers. I've fitted 1 original and made the other to suite. Box can pack and post ASAP. Photos Monday of what I've replaced.

   |   Re: Sticking GearboxHere is your gear box. I packed today 27 kg. Wheel cylinders and other bits will travel in another parcel. This you knew about Here some other things 4th hub totally dead. It pushed against the braking clip, see marks Bronze spacer (end float) have deep grooves rubbing against pinion bearing Lock ball replaced with correct size (too small) Lock ball spring snapped (piece missing) Rear cover shim replaced Input shaft bearing replaced Crown wheel bearings replaced (pitted) Small trick of the trade. Fit the brake shoes before wheel cylinders. Bring the shoes out to give room for the cylinders. Fit the cylinders and bring the shoes back in. 2 types of flywheels both none centrifugal. Maybe your flywheel doesn't match your input shaft. Domed friction plated needed Flat friction plated can be fitted on this flywheel Which one?
