By the time you're in your late 40s everything feels speeded up... that's why I love driving and messing with 2CVs, they seem to slow down time!

i was out on a vintage bicycle run a few weeks back, a guy there was in advertising and worked for Doyle Dane Bernbach, who were responsible for all the great VW Beetle ads of the '60s, he worked on Citroen ads up to 1980 before working on VW ads. he said it was so much fun working on the Citroen ads and had loads of ideas and stuff that made it to the full ads at home, lots of prototype stuff etc, including concepts for maybe future models, themes etc for new models or variations. it was so interesting chatting to him about this. he regretted leaving citroen but had a great time making the dropping Golf and polo ads with bert kwouk, but really regretted working on lancia ads and trying to convince the public to buy a lancia after the rust-prone lancia beta crisis |
