Post What Red is Betty?
Hi Guys

I know some of you know the exact colour of Betty so therfore what is the paint code or where can I buy a cheap can (cans) of red paint that would match the rest of the car? Can i just buy a can of 'red' from wilkos and it would look ok or do i need something better?

It'd be a shame to make betty pretty, and brushing on a slightly different shade of red would be much more in the spirit of betty, but I believe the colour is Sunrise red AC448

It is Sunrise Red, and ECAS sell the paint. I have been using some of it this very day.

IIRC, Ford Radiant red is a very good match for sunrise red. It's probably easier & cheaper to get hold of too...

It depends on the job you want, and how you go about it! you could brush on cheap dulux paint and it'll cost you about £15 a can, or you could go to a bodyshop and have it done nicely for a couple of hundred quid, if you buy a few cans of spray paint, plus primer and wet/dry paper, you're probably looking the best part of £50?

Hi Louise.

This company seems very reasonable; 400ml of any colour (just give them the code) for £6.99, and postage is fair too.

http://www.auto-paint.co.uk/carpaint/in ... oductId=21

No idea of what the quality of the paint is like, or accuracy of colour match. Has anyone here used them?
