 Seats
Having just looked at this: http://cdn.images.pistonheads.com/aimg/ ... 3514-3.jpg from the 'found on ebay' thread above. I quite like the Fiesta seats in that one - I find the originals a bit too soft and, at over 6'2" I tend to look out the top 2" of the screen... Anyone fitted seats from other cars (I know that from other Citroens, AXs etc is fairly common) and how (a) tricky it is (I guess welding is necessary?) and (b) how do they compare? Ta.

 Re: Seats
I had Daimler double six seats in my 2cv, I was a bit slapdash about fitting them, and they are a squeeze, but quite feasible. It had two supporting frames running across the front and rear of the seats, bolted to the original holes and through the seats original holes. Was pretty comfy, and they had heater elements in them (which I could never be bothered to wire up) and I'm sure they'll be welcome on those cold winter morning when you have to chip the ice off the inside of the windows...

 Re: Seats
My girlfriends 2cv has Renault seats. Do not not what type of renault. I have BX seats, These you see often in a 2cv.
What also fits are some Volvo seats...

 Re: Seats
I have Hyundai coupe seats in mine. Basically, nothing fits straight in. Pretty much anything can be made to fit with the right brackets and making brackets will involve cutting, drilling and probably welding. I think someone within 2cvgb used to make brackets for BX seats to order, and I might be mistaken but I think he was going to develop some for AX/Saxo seats. I picked my seats by wondering around the scrapyard with a tape measure, and seeing what was comfortable.

 Re: Seats
my ol' man has fiesta RS seats in his... though its a deauville kit and the body is a bit wider than a standard 2cv's but by the look of the pic i shouldnt think it would be too bad...i however prefer my bench seat, plenty good enough!
