Anyone fitted one of them?

Not used to this separate alternator/regulator setup (not since the dynamo in my Triumph GT6 anyways) - is there a 'trigger' wire amongst them which indicates that the alternator is outputting as it should?

My 1989 Special doesn't have the voltmeter that my earlier Charlie has, and seemingly nothing else to indicate 'charging' either.

Ideas? Apart from fitting a voltmeter - I'd like to keep the dash 'simple'.

Thanks.

D.A.,
afaik, there's no easy way of fitting a 'charge warning light' into the standard A series setup, unless a Visa alternator with its built-in regulator is used.
However, since fitting a voltmeter in those cars such as Specials which didn't have them as standard will give warning of both 'overvoltage' and 'undervoltage', I always fit one...
