Clicking front wheel at low speed.
All I can think of is wheel bearing? It goes away once you get up to any speed.
Wheel and hubcap are secure. Driveshafts not very old and extremely well lubricated. Bought from Ecas.
It's fine if you don't have the window open, you can't hear it! It's the front drivers side one. (RHD.)
Not the corroded wheel seam thing, wheels aren't corroded. I treated the car to a nice set of new Michelin wheels at some point and rustproofed them really well.
It drives great to be honest, I just noticed this new noise in heavy traffic at low speeds.

My 2 clicks:)
Examine tyre for shiny nail embeded in tyre? Check bottom of kingpin for rub marks?

Re: Clicking front wheel at low speed.
Both great ideas, I'm back home now, I do worry about the kingpin coming out a little but I had that before and it was an awful noise. This noise was almost tinny as if related to the hubcap, but that is tight.
I coasted a little on the flat road by my house and can't seem to hear it now. Hadn't thought to check for embedded things in tyre actually.
It's just driven about 500 miles on this trip, motorway and country lanes. What a little trooper.
I will investigate further. Ideally my wheel bearings need doing anyway and it's coming up to kingpin time again. The last time didn't go so well, groan....

Ah I do suspect wheel bearing now definitely. It's a kind of a clicking noise but also that hubcap is slightly warm afyer driving, and the other is not.
They've been making a subtle rumble on cornering for a while so I guess it's time.
Nothing in the tyres and nothing untoward behind the wheel in the kingpin area or anything.

Re: Clicking front wheel at low speed.
This was indeed the front wheel bearings. I didn't do the job as my friendly garage still has the old Citroën wall of tools. It wasn't enjoyable at all apparently and the nearside one was worse than the noisy drivers side e one apparently. it cost quite a lot! But back to normal now.
