I'm out to the farm today to fit a new alternator to my friends Nissan Patrol. Hopefully, that will fix it, as I don't want to be out to long in this cold weather. And before anyone mentions they have a metre of snow. I'm not geared up for it.

So, we fitted the alternator, and broke the belt tensioner .....

It really is a crap tensioner. It's cast alloy, and looking to break, as soon as you look at it!

No, not that much snow now, but still some... Photo from our surveillance camera... ...and the display of the weather station... Sh*t that is cold, it isn't olly feeling cold. Thank god it isn't any wind blowing now...

-20, hahaha. Most I've seen is -12. Not in my 2cv though, old Mercedes with a heated floor and doors and wow is that car cosy in winter.
Jasu, I've been looking online to see if I can find out if my oil weight is the cause of this. I'm going to change it back to 10x40 today if I get time before work. But you'll be the person to know this. What oil weight do you use there in winter in your elderly Citroëns?

Never seen heated doors and floor?? How does that work?? Our Volvo had heated seats.
