Post Re: 2cv with turbo
Not turbo, roots -supercharger. Made by Constantin Blower, have seen advertisements of 2CV, DS and VW Beetle...

The major difference between supercharger and turbocharger, the supercharger will make boost from idle, turbocharger needs some rpm when it wakes up to boost. And the other side, supercharger doesn't blow well on high rpm, turbocharger blows better in high rpm...

I had Aisin AMR300 on my 4x4 Dyane, liked a lot, also I was helping a friend when he installed IHI RHB31 to his 2CV. Both were very pleasant engines, and that behavior difference was easy to notice...

602cc, 8.5 C/R, Aisin AMR300, Megasquirt II, about 0,8bar boost (about 0,4 at idle), very light flyfheel (5kg lighter than standard), very much fun with 590kg 4x4 Dyane...
