 Alternator Bolt Snapped Bugger, wondered why the slight knocking noise was happening. The big bolt has snapped but the alternator still spins. Very cool actually, got he home from Wiltshire in the snow with no problems, just a funny knocking and all that was is where the metal cover was knocking on the alternator.
Anyway, the nut is still on the end. Is getting that broken bolt end bit out going to be a major headache? I'm guessing that's the threaded bit still in place with a nut on it.

Re: Alternator Bolt Snapped I have yet to try. The trouble is it needs to go 'in'. The nut is still on the threaded end but the shoulder of the bolt might prevent it from coming out that way where the nut is.
I'll probably just need to cut a little slot in it.
