This was odd, not something I've ever had on my Deuche. I went to refuel and there was a slight vacuum when I removed the cap. How strange is that. I did have to bump up the idle the other day while on a trip as it seemed to undulate a bit and stalled. Drove 100 miles home at 60mph no problems at all, but a couple days later (today) it did falter a bit so I had to pull over on the way to the petrol station. Idled a minute and it was fine again. |

May not be related. Caps are designed to let air into the tank when there is a vacuume from using fuel. Try some WD40 on the cap. |

The fuel cap had been a bit stiff with the key for the last year or two and I finally got around to putting a bit of oil in the key slot a couple weeks ago which improved it hugely. Hmm I wonder if I've gummed up the vent. I shall investigate! |
