so I have a complete bike( R1100RT :o with a huge bundle of wires. what do I need to keep to make it work has anyone come up with a simple solution.

First of all, I have envy :) Just wanted to get that out of the way ...

First refusal if you give up please :D

Perhaps a Haynes manual would help. Adaptor kit from Pete Sparrow maybe.

Obviously @lpgo is the man to advise.

There must be wiring diagrams on the web. Everything from the ecu to the engine sensors will be needed. Possibly need to fool a gearbox neutral/clutch/side stand sensor.

You need to think about exhaust, and be careful with the cylinder head to exhaust bolt/nuts

First thing which pops up in my mind: put on a 2cv carb and a Megasquirt or Speeduino ecu. It will drive just fine. I'm talking out of experience.
