You can alter the amount of lift required by the length/mounting point of the Reed. I think a mounted one on tube and blew thru it?. Try it out plastic, tin etc.
The Reed lifts on + stroke and is sealed on the - stroke.
To avoid cutting the breather open, Make a jig to sit on the top of the breather, remove cap and see how they work..

A friend had a breather of a Smart in the hose between filler and airfilter. Worked fine.

@RogerV goes in the air filter pipe?
Prefer a replacement for the Citroen design.

This has moved forward a little :)

The reed material is difficult to work with using such small items

So I made a clamp to help hold and shape it.

I contacted a company regarding resin for 'potting'. I was contemplating making a mould and to cast the main part. However, it turns out the resin was more prone to heat distortion than the ABS I print with. :)

Reeds.. good scissors or very small tins snips. Enquired, can’t be laser cut even when layered, has to be stamped, but the cost of a stamp?

Ps looking excellent

Going off topic, but RogerV loves his 3D printer. Do you know this website? Thought you might like it.

https://www.stlfinder.com

And, as the yellow P45t bulbs sadly has become absolutely worthless pieces of rubbish these days, even from Burton, these adapters are one of two ways to go. If wanting to keep the wonderful look of the p45t headlamp glass. Which one should, as it's a beauty compared to the H4 lamp glass.

I wasn't aware of the stl finder site. :) Familiar with Thingiverse though. I don't tend to spend much time looking for stuff, as designing it is the fun part for me. :D

So, today I thought I would just wire brush the breather and use up some old black gloss spray paint ...... What could possibly go wrong!!!

The nozzle blocked, and it wouldn't stop spraying is what!!!!

The image of my hand, is after 5 minutes of scrubbing. :D

Eirik. I have took adapters from H4 lights, and to some P45t lights I have installed those as they fit direct to P45t place. On my both Dyane, tested to Sm dipped beam and last fit wos to my Land Rover. No any issues at MOT for years, the light pattern is as goos as it should be...

Those adapters is easy to find H4 lights with rusted reflectors, took them from GSA and 2CV lights, both of them fit perfect...

As the 3D printing is nice, I don't prefer any plastic holders on headlight bulbs... Well, printing metal parts isn't so far ahead, at our polytechnique they can print many metals, one 2CV owner is teaching there and planned to print some gears to gearbox -only for education purpose, and samples may just made duplicates and may disappear...
