Can anyone with easy access, please measure (unless you know) the metal fuel outlet from the tank.
I think its sucking air there somewhere, and its a bit of a patchwork. :)
Thanks

Hi Roger, I measured it to be 6 mm outer diameter.

Ive ordered hose and clips.
So anyone got any tips as to the easiest way to change the rubber hose? Does the tank have to drop all the way out?

Dropping the tank is the most "sure" method of replacing the fuel line. Due to the lack of space it is too risky of squeezing the line.

Definitely easiest with the tank dropped all the way, curse those rear seatbelt fittings that did away with the access hatch!

Richard
I'm fortunate to have a Bedouin with wooden floor and access hatch, but still can't see under the cross member!

Still, not a bad idea to take it out completly, as i have a submersible fuel pump that i would like to see if it can be fitted. :)

Take the tank of when it's nearly empty. My brother once found out when a full tank he was unbolting hit him in the face... ;-)

I did a simular thing with my old 2cv. A full tank is suprisingly heavy when your stuggling under the car. :)
