Is it a simple swap from 2 spoke steering wheel (D*lly) to a single spoke (Charleston) type? Someone told me the column needs rotating by 90 degrees to correctly position the single spoke - is this correct? If so, straight forward? ta |

As I recall, it does need to be rotated......You need to take out the bolt at the base of the column, (in the engine bay) Pull the column up and rotate.....Getting it all pointing in the straight ahead direction can be a challenge ....I had a couple of goes at it ! |

If you've still got the steering lock ring fitted, you'll need to remove that first in order to pull the column up high enough to clear the pinion. |

I swapped my two spoked "standard" 2CV {Special} steering wheel for a single spoke {Charleston/Club/Dyane?} wheel ....the spoke now resides at somewhere around the 10or11 o-clock position ....which to be perfectly honest, is no problem at all IMHO. BTW ....just a thought, but I was under the {prob'ly mistaken} impression that the idea of a single spoke was so that the steering wheel "collapses" easier in the event of a collision ...therefor it would seem rather silly {IMO} to position the spoke at anything like 5 to 7 o-clock.
