I have two over here a french and a belgian one. Diametre spokes 18mm, rim 22 mm. |

I do love the simplicity of the original steering wheel. I'd happily have one fitted to my 1988 2CV but I believe the wheel is solidly attached to the column, so it's not quite as straightforward to do a swap. I'd have to remove the column as well as the steering wheel. |

Thanks Guys !!! My plan is to have a new rim made but using the same mounting plate as the normal wheel. My mate has rolled a number of wheels for another mate in the Moggy Minor scene, (a bit more detailed...), using existing, trimmed minor wheels. His Dad is a retired engineer with a shed full of lathes and mills so the wheel center should be easy ! For me, a slightly smaller diameter wheel will help in the constrained confines of the Van (especially with my current "beer belly" ![]() |
