Post component inside indicator unit.
Hi all,
About to change broken indicator unit and have noticed in the replacement there is an extra component inside.
In the broken one there is just an empty space.
Does anyone know what it is?
Thanks in advance.

Is it wired?
Could be a buzzer reminder.

That's a clacker isn't it?
Earlier switches had a clacker built in. I fitted one to mine to stop the other half forgetting to switch the blinkers off. They're absolutely excellent.
Fit it and enjoy.

Indeed, when the indicator relais is not noisy enough, in my case I have an very silent electronic blinkerrelais for LED's, such a clacker is an excellent solution. Never seen before, but where to get ?.

From almost any 70's era 2CV/Dyane..?

But. I'm pretty sure, it won't work with LED indicators, because the clacker get earth from "the other side" indicators and LED doesn't flow current enough for clacker. Maybe I'm wrong, someone needs to test that...
