The door windows on the Bedouin are sliders. The issue I'm having is that rain is filling the channel and as the level rises, it drips into the interior of the car.

Before I drill holes at both ends in an attempt to create a drain, has anyone seen any othe solutions?

Further investigation suggets the water may be entering under the channel!
A robust approach has removed the channel :D

Its not in a horrific state, but it would be easier to replace it, if I can find the correct size . Otherwise, I'll clean it back and treat it. Either way, I need to find a suitable sealant prior to fitting.

Get somebody to photo of a Dyane window slot.
I seem to recall a two slots in the guide and a “felt” surface

Thanks Pete
I did google dyane, but it wasn't that helpful.

Have moved on anyway, it was such a mess, I removed the channel from the door. It was riveted on, but no sealer between. All treated and red oxided now. I'll gloss and then reassemble tomorrow. :)

Thanks @pop48

That link is very useful, and indicates that I'm on the correct approach. :D

I was drilling a hole when the channel moved, so it definitely had to come out anyway. :)

The HY has sliding windows too. I think the dutch HY club had special aluminum profiles. The middle and the outer ridge had a few slots in there. So water could drain away to the outside.

@azl57
You make a valid point regarding the middle rail!

This could have been leaking for longer than I thought. I always assumed it was from the windscreen/bulkhead area. :(

I'm waiting for undercoat to dry at the moment, and need it back together, but intend to revisit it after some thought about drainage. :)

Generally, quite pleased with it. :)

I've to repair the door well, and then strip the panel off the door, and repaint the whole door frame before re skinning.
