 Stupid chassis question......
OK, I apologise in advance for a stupid question...... I'm contemplating a chassis change rather than repair on my AZU250 van and assessing the size of the task, and the logistics, of carrying out the task in my height restricted, single garage, (and no driveway......) Plan would be, to raise body as far as I can, (to the rafters), and roll out the chassis.... So, the question, is the body really only secured to the chassis by a few teeny bolts along the floor/chassis junction in the passenger compartment, then a couple of equally small nuts and bolts on the crossmembers under the load area??? Or am I not seeing something......

 Re: Stupid chassis question......
Yes, that's all and the steering column, wiring loom, gear lever, fuel line and brake lines have to be disconnected.

 Re: Stupid chassis question......
Couple of bolts at the end of the rear chassis rails as well - seem to remember you remove the fuel tank as well. Then the hydraulic tubes (or cut and replace with new ones)

Don't know how much place you have, i have seen several times they put a van body on it's rear vertically. You have to take the doors and light off.

 Re: Stupid chassis question......
Nahh, not enough space for that, I think I'll just get the rolling chassis out from underneath the body !

We had four jacks and two long beams and supported the body with the beams sideways on the jacks. If it is wide enough you can get the rolling chassis from under the body and park it there again when you are not working on the car. https://flic.kr/p/w3BRDt

 Re: Stupid chassis question......
OK, decision made, new chassis ordered from Ken Hanna.....
Gonna be at least a month for delivery so plenty of time for me to get old chassis out and bits stripped, cleaned, replaced.
I'll clean and repair old chassis and store it away with the original engine/box....
Hopefully be out and about in the Summer.....
