Not much original anymore...2 airfilters on top of each other. ;-)

I did once put a 12 volt alternator on a 425, it is very easy. Weld a u profil to the manifold put the alternator on it mount a 2cv6 fan, bin the dynamo and your done..

And in the prosess I will ruin the look I'm after ;) The problem is not how to get 12 V, it's how to get 12V still using the crank mounted altenator-dynamo-generator thing. To keep the clean, minimalist look of the engine and bay.

I have found a workshop which has been repairing dynamos, generators and starters for 60 years. The first guy working there is still around! I'll check with them if they can convert the original 6V to 12V. It's jut about winding new wires and changing a few diodes, isnt it? Maybe just the diodes? (I dont know the English words for this type of job, but in Norwegian it's called "Vikleverksted". Which directly translated is winding workshop  )

Nice pictures by the way, thanks! I didn't like the exhaust at all, or the wiring and relays, but hey....

I have seen an video over turning an old 6 volt 2cv dynamo into 12 volts...i think but it was in portugese....
shall look if i can find that. p.s. it's a dynamo not an altenator the old beast only coils no diodes..
